Well-being
Staff well-being in a primary school is essential for creating a positive and effective learning environment. When teachers and support staff feel valued, supported, and healthy, both mentally and physically, they are more engaged, motivated, and better equipped to meet the diverse needs of their pupils. It is important for schools to plan how to do this. The 'Developing a school staff well-being strategy for your school' course looks at all aspects of what to do and provides a deeper understanding of well-being and happiness.
Running a school staff well-being survey is important because it provides valuable insights into how staff are feeling and what support they may need. It gives every team member a voice, helping school leaders identify strengths and areas for improvement in the working environment. LPDS offers a customisable staff well-being survey service. The survey is created for the school or organisation, and after it has been run, the survey results are analysed and sent back to the school.
Working our way to better Mental Health
In December 2009 the government document "Working our way to better mental health: a framework for action" was published. This is a collaborative document between the Depatment of Work and Pensions and the Department of Health. It emphasises the importance of wellbeing at work and gives you a rationale for action.
